Availability
I have a part-time job so I am most consistently available on Mondays. For Tuesday-Friday's, I'm available from 6:30pm depending on your location. Weekend availability varies so I tend to set these as unavailable on the Rover calendar, but please do send a message with the dates you have in mind and I'll see if I can make it work.

About Catherine S.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat other people’s homes with great care and make sure to leave the space as I found it. I will let the pets come to me when they’re ready and use treats if they’re particularly shy (with the owner’s permission). I know how difficult it can be to know who to trust so I’m more than happy to have a video call to introduce myself and for you to ask any questions.
Information Catherine S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any additional needs or behaviours to look out for. For example, being particularly nervous around a specific breed of dog or type of person. Also let me know if your dog trained with particular commands/phrases so I can keep this consistent. For shy cats, let me know if they’re the type that likes attention but needs some treats to encourage them or if they prefer to be left alone.
A typical day
Other than taking dogs for a walk in green open spaces to make sure they can let all their energy out, I also love playing games with toys or movement. Once inside I generally opt for calmer interactions like head scratches or petting them while they sleep on my lap.

Cat care experience
I’ve been cat-sitting for 10 years but most often when I travelled around the UK, petsitting for accommodation. I then moved to Bristol and have been cat-sitting alongside my job for the last two years. I’ve been very lucky to have met a variety of personalities and learned quickly that enthusiasm is often best concealed so they can honour me with their presence when it suits them. I’m confident with all aspects of care and would only hesitate with administering medications that cause any agitation until I’ve established trust with the cat. Please let me know if you have any questions :)
Reviews

Catherine was a superb carer for our cat Linda whilst we were away on holiday. Her updates and proactive approach made sure we had an excellent experience and peace of mind during our whole trip whilst getting our daily dose of the cutest cat pics 💚 She also house sit for a whole day and left our house even better than we left. Me and my partner were super happy and lucky to have the opportunity to have Catherine looking over Linda (cat). We can’t recommend her enough and will be 100% booking her again when needed. Thank you 💚

Catherine was brilliant, very attentive and considerate. Will definitely book again

Catherine took great care of our Gucci who can be a bit anxious around new pet sitters. She took time to get to know him and we came back from our trip to a very happy kitty. Thank you!
Catherine was our lovely catsitter who stayed at our flat to look after our shy cat for 2 weeks last year. She regularly updated us with messages, pictures and videos while being mindful of our flat. Our cat was happy and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter!
