Hi! My name is Cathy and I've been a continuous cat owner for over 40 years. In that time, I've dealt with most things feline, including the deliveries of two British Blue litters, the sick and the elderly. Sadly, my dear 15 year old Monty passed away recently, but he knew that a cattery wasn’t for all of his feline friends. Of all of my cats, Monty was of a slightly nervous disposition. Monty trained me well to know when he was in the mood for play or comfort. He told me his feeding and water bowls were always kept spotlessly clean and refreshed and his litter tray was kept perfectly clean. I shall look after your fur babies as though they are my own :)) I am not the cheapest choice on here, but I have experience of house sitting and I can give references. I have a current DBS certificate. I am happy to collect the post, water plants inside and out, manoevre bins and draw the curtains as appropriate to give the impression someone is home. A dog owner for many years, I am happy to walk your dog as an additional service and look after other small animals other than cats. I have looked after chickens, fish, tortoises and hamsters. I also puppy sit in your own home for those early days of ownership, so I can help for those last minute emergencies you may have. Each role is different and priced accordingly. Please get in touch for quotations for multiple animal families, night stays, for far away homes and homes outside my catchment area. Please also note, in line with local catteries, I charge a double fee for bank holiday days, so please get in touch for those periods and I’ll send you a quote. If my diary is blocked out, regular clients please drop me a message and if I can squeeze you in, I shall. I have presently have family caring duties elsewhere in the country, so presently I’m back and forth. Hopefully once a care package is in place, I’ll be more available. For longer term catsits, I am happy to prepare automatic feeders (if that is helpful to you) for those super early morning breakfasts. There are also cat water fountains which you may also wish to purchase. Please do get in touch and I’ll help as much as I can :) In response to the Covid pandemic, please let me know if you would like me to wear disposable gloves and/or a fresh new facemask as I enter your home. My husband works for the NHS, so we understand the importance of proper hygiene. I always wash my hands on entering your property, after cleaning litter trays and on leaving. After a career in aviation and education, I now work freelance in film and tv a few days a month and I dance.
