I have been a social worker for 15 years, due to retire in December in 2025, and now looking for something meaningful to do with my time. My previous jobs were in finance: banking, accountancy, etc. I found out about Cat Sitting services from a friend, and this role seems perfect for me. I have owned cats all my life; each with different personalities and foibles – every cat is unique. I have taken in rescue cats and strays, and I have reared kittens. I adopted one from a foster home, who was half-feral, having lived without a home for several months. She came to my family needing medication and feeding up, and she lived to a ripe old age. Each one of my cats have been gorgeous and, providing you accept that they do things on their terms, you can get along fine! My current cat is Coco and she is 16 years old; she is a very fussy eater, has given up catching birds/mice and sleeps around 23 hours a day (no change there though). I live in Pontyclun and close to Creigiau, Pentyrch, Radyr, so I’m happy to visit these areas too.
