Hi there, I’m Joe. I hadn’t been much of a cat person till I met my partner, but I’ve been quickly converted! We’ve lived in different areas of Bristol and have befriended many local cats, but in 2022 decided to get our own. Babs is now 16, and thriving. We think she’s been blind since birth, but she has taken to our home perfectly. She loves climbing, belly rubs and wailing at 3 AM for food. I’m also quite used to cleaning up little accidents! Earning the trust of a blind cat means being patient and considerate, and I take that approach with any cat now. In my professional life I’m a full-time staff nurse; I work shifts, but this often means I’m free over the weekend or odd hours. I also don’t drive so generally looking for walking distance jobs.
