I currently work part-time three days of the week (usually Mon-Wed) and work as self-employed for the rest of the week. This means that my schedule is very flexible and I can work around my hours in order to suit your needs. I would be more than happy to discuss what kind of care you require at what times, whether that’s early morning walks with high-energy play time, or occasional check-ins for feeding, company and cleaning after your pet where necessary.

While I am not able to take care of your pet in my own house, I can provide all kinds of care in your own home. This includes walking your pets for as long as you require and multiple times a day as needed – I can do slow, short walks for elderly companions or ones with mobility issues, as well as longer walks that require more playtime and energy. I can also house-sit your pet and ensure they are fed, clean and keeping well, whether it’s just for an occasional check-in or for a couple of hours to keep them entertained and provide them with company – I know cats especially can have different temperaments, and while some need loads of attention, others may just need to know they’re not alone in the house! Whatever your pets needs are I would love to keep them happy and make sure they are well-cared for. I am also happy to assist with things like bathing your pet, cleaning out the litterbox or giving them medication if needed, and taking care of animals that may need extra care as long as I have detailed instructions – if this sounds like something your pet may need then please discuss this with me so we can work out if what you need is within my capabilities, as the health of your pet is of highest priority! I’m not always able to stay overnight, however if this is something you need and you’re able to discuss this in advance then please feel free to reach out to me to see if this is something I can accommodate.

Information Nikolas W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about the following when making a booking: -Your pet's temperament, including around strangers and other animals -Any special needs/medications -Typical ways they like to play -Feeding schedule & routine (if appropriate for the booking) -Anything else that may be particular to your cat or dog!

A typical day

I'm happy to adjust myself to your and your beloved pet's habits, schedule and preferences in order to give them a sense of security and routine. If you and your dog have a specific park that you like to visit, a route that you enjoy and particular toys that are always a hit, then tell me all about it! However if your dog is on a more adventurous site then by all means I'm happy to change things up within the nearby area. While most cats are vary of change I'm aware they also need mental stimulation and I'm happy to play with them in different ways (balls, feathers, toys on a string, etc.) or just leave them to it if that's what they prefer!

Cat Lover with Extensive Animal Care Experience

Cat care experience

I have both professional as well as personal experience in taking care of animals (and being very eager to do so to boost) that would make both myself and your cat happy and safe while being taken care of. I have had a strong affinity for animals since a very young age – I have taken care of a hamster and several fish as a child, and often fought to walk and play with the extended family’s dogs whenever I had the chance! I now have a senior cat who has been living with us for just about fourteen years and is an absolute, spoiled baby of the house 😊 As for my professional experience, I have volunteered with various organisations over the years in the field of animal care. My first voluntary role was with the Surrey Docks City Farm spanning years 2017 and 2018, and involved feeding various farm animals (including goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc.) as well as cleaning and refreshing their pens. A definite highlight of the job was handling and feeding some of our baby lambs. Following this, I have volunteering at the Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Victoria for a period of six months as an Early Admissions Assistant. This job required the handling of pets (mostly dogs and cats, but with a couple of lovely rodents as well) to our admissions unit, as well as keeping the examination rooms hygienic and clean between patients. My following voluntary role was with the Wildlife Aid Foundation in Leatherhead in 2021 and involved feeding various wild animals at the centre, with a big focus on handling and hand-feeding a large amount of pigeons and wood doves. I have volunteered at the London Zoo as an Assistant Animal Keeper as my most recent animal-related role - no handling of course, but required sensitivity around different kinds of animals and strict adherence to guidelines. The role involved preparation of different types of food as well as cleaning duties. While some of my professional experience has included animals other than cats, I have loved them all the same and am not afraid of the physical, dirty work that comes with animal care – I’m ready to take on the more difficult aspects of the job just as much as I enjoy the company of pets themselves! I currently work at a day job four days of the week (usually Tue-Fri) and work as self-employed for the rest of the time. This means that my schedule can be quite flexible and I can work around my hours in order to suit your needs.

Nikolas was punctual, followed instructions for the care of my cat (and the plant!) and left my place in order. Also communicated frequently for my peace of mind while I was away. Thanks Nikolas!

Nikolas was an incredibly conscientious and communicative sitter. He knows cats very well and Bea took to him instantly! Would absolutely book again. Thank you Nikolas for looking after Bea!

Nick is a wonderful and reliable petsitter, having looked after my two dogs while I was away for the weekend. He follows instructions to the letter, as our dogs eat different foods on different days. He kept them entertained and satisfied, and the house was neat and tidy when we got home. Highly reccomend!
