As I only work part time now, I have plenty of time on my hands. This is my go to job for when I fully retire next year, and absolutely love doing this.

If your cat if very timid, I will be very gentle and not approach them until they get to know me. Everything is on their terms, and they usually warm to me after a few visits.
A typical day
Some cats don’t want to play, especially older cats. But if they do want to play I’ll spend quality time with them. Strokes and cuddles offered too. I can also take your cat for a walk in the garden with a lead if that’s what you usually do.

Cat care experience
I work for the NHS. Spinal injury unit. 25 Years. I love hiking the Cleveland way with friends in my spare time. I’ve always had cats in my life. I have 5 Ragdoll cats at the moment. I used be breed them, and had 16 kittens at one time. Everyone of them went to loving homes.I adore cats, my 5 babies are my life. I would love to help look after other peoples cats. They would be well looked after, and very safe with me.

Wendy went above and beyond looking after my 2 cats. My male cat has to have medicine but won’t take it in his food so she watched me do it into his mouth and was happy to do it while I was away. She even went looking for him under the bed when he wouldn’t come down to have his food and medicine!! She sent me photos and videos to reassure me they were both okay. Fantastic care and would definitely recommend Wendy to anyone unsure about using a drop in sitter. Definitely put my mind at rest.
Wendy looked after our two cats while we were away on holiday, and we couldn't have been happier with the care she provided. From the very first visit, it was obvious how much Wendy genuinely cares about cats. She kept us updated every day with lots of photos and videos, which gave us real peace of mind and allowed us to see how happy and relaxed our cats were while we were away. Knowing that Wendy was looking after them meant we could fully enjoy our holiday without worrying. She was reliable, caring, and attentive, and it was clear that our cats were in excellent hands. We came home to two very content cats and are so grateful for the wonderful care Wendy provided. We would absolutely book Wendy again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated cat sitter. Thank you, Wendy!
Wendy was SO lovely and attentive to our cat, Kiki ♡ As we're relatively new to the area we had no friends or family to look after Kiki, so finding Wendy through Cat in a Flat was so helpful! She made Kiki feel very comfortable and gave her lots of fuss when coming to check-in and feed, and the video updates were so reassuring whilst we were away ♡
