About Me
Cat sitter in Leeds
Hi, I'm Holly. I love animals of all kinds and would love to look after your cat(s) while you are away.
I have always had a passion for animals, which in 2021 led me to gain my masters in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare. This taught me so much about how best to care for cats. Additionally, I have over two years experience as an Animal Care Assistant in the veterinary industry and I currently work for Dogs Trust Leeds as a kennel supervisor. All of which allows me to meet my cat clients behavioural and medical needs to the highest standard.
Beyond this, I have over 3 years of experience volunteering with cats in rescue centres (as well as fostering), so have an abundance of experience with cats of all natures and temperaments.
I have had family cats since being a teenager, and I currently have my own gorgeous little bean, Daisy, who is a 13 year old rescue cat that my partner and I spoil rotten and can’t imagine our life without.
During my Masters degree, I also gained extensive research-based knowledge about optimal house layout for cats, ways to keep them entertained using enrichment devices and food puzzles and general tips for improving the welfare of our beloved kitties, and I would be happy to share this with my cat loving clients ☺️
I have recently moved back to Yorkshire and I am looking to build up my clients in the area (having had to say goodbye to all my fab kitty clients in Edinburgh) - I hope you feel you can consider me ☺️
I am happy to meet you and your cat(s) before confirming a visit, and can send photos/videos of your cat whilst you are away for peace of mind. Your cat is a member of your family, so I would take this responsibility very seriously and would take the best possible care of them in your absence. I am also aware that different cats require different amounts of attention, so whether you have a needy kitty or an independent type - I can be flexible to ensure your cat's needs are met.
Please note that I do not do raw feeding due to a lack of scientific studies on the topic and the potential for malnutrition and contamination/bacterial infection risk
I would provide all essential cat care such as ensuring their litter tray is kept clean and tidy, ensuring they have food and water, as well as playing with/cuddling your kitty (if they'll let me). I am also happy to water any plants & feed any fish etc.
