Hello,

We are Steve, Wendy & the team we’ve cared for cats for a combined 64+ years & love them; we currently have the pleasure of calling seven cats our fur family; they're called Bill (Bill-Bo), Ben (Ben-Ben/Sheeps), Merlin (Mer-Mer), Severus Snape (Sevvy), Bellatrix Lestrange (Bella-Bo) & Fleur Delacour (Fluffs) & Killy.

We became cat sitters following looking after friend's cats while they were away for 12+ years then started cat sitting professionally but as a not for profit, all money made after covering costs goes to the Cats Protection Dereham Adoption Centre, we’re always mindful that all cats have different personalities so take time to bond with them on the initial visit (provided you have the time😻).

We will look after any of your pets however, we have no experience with spiders or snakes so this slightly puts us off looking after them (also Steve is scared of spiders).

Areas covered include: NR1 to NR14 inclusive & all of the city centre as far out as Wymondham If you’re not sure just ask! (We often cover further out of the city but over 8 miles from NR2 incurs a 30pence per mile charge each way per visit).

Whilst you’re enjoying your holiday or working away our services include:

• 30-45 minutes instead of the usual 20 minute slot offered by nearly all other cat sitters, we do not charge extra for this. We just feel the industry needs to change & cat sitters need to look after the cats in they care properly, which cannot be done in 20 minutes.

• Visiting in pairs so with 2 of our team most often so one of us can provide the play & cuddles whilst the other does the feeding & the litter boxes, (we will confirm if any of your dates will be just one of us at the time of booking or on the initial visit) this is unique to us at CatPals+ as we feel it offers you exceptional value & make your furbaby/s feel more calm/happy!

• Feed once or twice a day & stick to dietary requirements as necessary.

• Give orally administered medication (we have plenty of experience with this as one of our fur family is on to tablets and we give our cats worming tablets frequently. (We have a number of tricks up our sleeves to ensure tablet/powder/liquid time is not very stressful at all for your furbaby/s).

• Injections & blood sugar tests can be catered for.

• Send a photo or video to update you on your furbaby/s daily if it would help to put your mind at ease (for this we use WhatsApp as the platform here is great for booking but pictures don't upload well & videos just don't work!).

• Groom them if that’s something they enjoy.

• Change the litter box, top up the litter & fully clean the box as needed.

• Give plenty of cuddles & affection.

• Water the plants & even hover if needed.

• We provide a toy or two & treats where allowed (we do cater for dietary requirements).

Also, if they have any current vets appointments whilst you are away we are happy to be their taxi service, for a small extra fee (Emergency visits we always change our plotted day to cater for too!).

    Steve and Wendy were both marvellous, nothing too much trouble. They kept in contact when necessary, asked if they had any questions, kept Barney amused (even played with the world's most 'am not amused' cat!), cleared up beautifully, and most importantly made sure B was fed and watered. Felt v happy leaving our cat in their care. Recommended!

    Steve and Wendy looked after my old Siamese boy and I could not be more pleased with the result. They went out of their way to ensure he was happy, secure and loved, and the house looked cleaner than when I left! They even provided additional toys, mats and food. They are trustworthy and provide daily updates and photos. I would recommend them.

    Honestly could not recommend better cat sitters than Steve and Wendy. They truly went above and beyond for our kitten. He was taken such good care of and had the best time with his new friends. I came home to a very happy little chap. Wendy and Steve sent me regular updates, videos and pictures which were lovely to see.

    Steve and Wendy are amazing! We have a senior kitty that needs twice daily visits for an oral medication and they cared for her so well! We recently moved to the area and are so grateful to have found Steve and Wendy, we felt very safe knowing they were looking after her! They are so thorough and considerate, cannot recommend them enough! ☺️🐈

    10/10 recommend. I fully trusted Steve with my fluffmuffins, I received pictures and messages with updates which made me feel at ease while being away. The house was kept spotless and I know he went above and beyond to do the best job. He was great, he came around prior, to meet the boys. You can tell he really cares and loves his job. Thank you!!

    Steve was absolutely fabulous looking after our elderly cat (17) with health issues, who is not the most sociable cat, but she was happy in Steve's company.

    We were quite apprehensive leaving her to have a long awaited break, but felt very comfortable leaving her in Steve's capable hands, visiting twice a day, administering medication and cleaning her litter tray. He sent daily messages and photos to reassure us Molly was fine.

    Steve comes with a bonus of being happy to undertake other tasks, such as feeding fish and watering the greenhouse and garden, which was much appreciated in the extreme heat over the last week.

    He is respectful, very helpful and everything was clean and tidy on our return. I would highly recommend him to others without hesitation.

    Thank you Steve, you made our trip away less worrying knowing Molly was being well looked after.
