About Me
Mayne Cat Sitting Services
Hi I'm Jess, I am currently living and working in the Eastleigh area. At the moment I am a receptionist/admin assistant for an Accountancy firm.
I have always lived in a house with animals and always cats! Cats seem to always gravitate to me (as I them), which is unusual as you will know well, its always on their terms :D
Since moving out of my family home last year it felt weird not to have a cat or pet to come home to and I miss that! Although when I visit home or stay over, our family cat Phoebe always makes up for the lost time and comes and pays me lost of attention and keeps me company during the night with lots of dribbly wet noes head buts, purr's & nuzzling.
I grew up with Gemma who was a black feral cat, my mum found her as a kitten where she worked and rescued her, as my mum thinks the mother and other siblings had unfortunately been killed (they were near a warehouse with lots of lorries and machinery etc) Gemma was a fiery little thing and not one to be messed with and all the other cats on the street knew it! She was only little but was feisty, she lived to 20/21 years old so I was lucky to have had most of my childhood with her :)
When my grandparents passed away, we also adopted their cat Chesney who was originally from the Cats Protection. He was the most placid cat you could ever meet, UNTIL... there was food around... He was very cheeky and would sneak off to neighbours houses and steal sausages from BBQ's, joints of meat that people had got out to defrost, he even had a couple of coy carp from someone's pond! :/ Also the occasional swipe trying to knock your bacon sandwich out of your hand.. This meant he struggled with his weight and ended up going to fat club at the vets, he then got diagnosed with diabetes and ended up having to be injected twice a day. This seemed to get his weight under control but he was fairly old anyway which meant he wouldn't go out as much to find the food, he sadly passed away a couple of years ago now but I will always reminisce and chuckle to myself about all his adventures he had, he was a character!
Obviously I would be an excellent attention giver with lots of play, cuddles and treats (if allowed).
I am happy to administer medication and injections if needed and would feel confident to do so once shown how to. I have the experience of administering insulin injections, although we were very lucky he didn't seem bothered as we would do this when he was eating (he was very food driven) but like I say with relevant demonstration and instruction I would be happy to do so.
Ideally around the Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Bishopstoke area would be ideal. Happy to travel to Winchester/Andover on occasions but this would most likely be weekends rather than mornings/evenings in the week.
