Need an
awesome
cat sitter?
About Me
Five decades of cats own my heart (see my Instagram)
Nervous cats are my specialty. After a lifetime of living with cats (see their stories on my Instagram caitlincatsitter) and minding friends' sweeties, in April 2023 I started sitting professionally in London. I've now moved to Stanley in County Durham. I'm police checked and available for kitties in Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Sunderland plus anywhere on the bus and Metro routes around Tyne and Wear, Northumberland or County Durham.
Cat sitting is becoming my full time vocation. Timewise, I can be fairly flexible. Sorry, I can't do overnights but I'm happy to work out a timetable with you for 1 or 2 visits a day (each 30-45 minutes).
My fee is per household, not per cat and I won't be charging Peak Fees.
I like to give cats the time and space to decide I'm ok. I've fostered some very anxious cats, officially and unofficially (their stories are all on my Instagram too) and passed the test with some very independent strays. I'm pleased they decided our house could be their safe space. "Our" currently means my chaps, Django and Willow and till recently, Harry who'd been living rough for years.
I volunteered for several years with two shelters, making adoption videos to show their lodgers' personalities. You can hear how I engage with cats in those, on my YouTube channel. Just search TallulahTangle.
I'll look after your sweetie like my own. I'm very safety conscious and will be diligent about your security and privacy.
I'll be taking my lead from your cat about how they'd like my visit to be. I make cat toys and will bring a new washable knotty chase&chew string if they want to run around or just sit quietly and talk while they watch me from behind the sofa and wait for me to leave! I'm happy to be pinned down for half an hour and do strokes and brushing and tickles. It's their call. If they need meds I can take care of that, except injections, sorry. I'm totally comfortable with litter trays and poo scooping, accidents and hairballs on the rug.
