Safety, trust & environment

I currently offer pet-sitting services in the pet owner's home, which I believe provides the most comfort and consistency for the pet, as they get to remain in their familiar environment. My approach is focused on creating a calm, safe, and enriching experience for each pet, tailored to their individual needs and routine. Before each booking, I arrange a meet-and-greet with the owner and their pet to understand the pet’s specific needs, personality, medical requirements, feeding schedule, and any behavioural quirks or preferences. This allows me to follow their regular routine as closely as possible, helping reduce any stress or anxiety while their owner is away.

Information Justina B. would like to know about your pet

Behaviour & Personality: Are they friendly with new people? How do they behave around other dogs, cats, or children? Any quirks, fears, or triggers (e.g. loud noises, bicycles, strangers)? Do they have separation anxiety or other emotional needs? Feeding & Treats: Meal times and portion sizes? Any dietary restrictions or allergies? Approved treats (and how many are allowed per day)? Exercise Needs: How many walks per day? For how long? Leash preferences: Harness or collar? Can they go off-lead? Are they good with recall? Favourite types of play (e.g. fetch, tug-of-war, scent games) Health & Medication: Current medical conditions? Medications or supplements (how and when to give them)? Vet contact info in case of emergency? Do's and Don'ts: Any house rules (e.g. not allowed on furniture, no treats before walks)? Can they be left alone? For how long? Places or situations to avoid (certain dogs, streets, dog parks, etc.)?

A typical day

I love keeping dogs both mentally and physically stimulated during my time with them. It’s important to me that they feel engaged, exercised, and happy. I enjoy taking dogs on varied walks to keep things interesting—whether that’s exploring different routes around the neighbourhood or visiting local parks and green spaces. If it’s safe and the owner is comfortable with it, I like to let the dog off the leash in secure areas so they can run freely, sniff around, and really enjoy themselves. We’ll play games like fetch, chase, or tug-of-war—whatever the dog enjoys most. I also include enrichment activities like using treat puzzles or simple training exercises to challenge their minds and reinforce positive behaviours. For high-energy dogs, I’ll mix in more active play, while for older or more relaxed pets, we might go on gentler strolls and enjoy some calm bonding time with cuddles and belly rubs. Ultimately, I tailor the activities to suit the pet’s personality, age, and energy level—ensuring they’re safe, happy, and having fun while their owners are away.

The Purr-fect Cat Sitter in Glasgow

Cat care experience

Hi! I'm a passionate and experienced cat sitter with over two years of hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages and temperaments. I've been cat sitting professionally since March 2022, and I recently made the exciting decision to leave my full-time job to dedicate myself to this work — caring for animals is what I truly love doing. Cats have always been a part of my life. I had my own cat throughout my childhood and teenage years, and since 2022 I've looked after a wide variety of cats across the world, each with their own unique personalities and needs. This includes senior cats, kittens, indoor and outdoor cats, and those requiring special medical care. One recent situation involved an outdoor cat who was hit by a car during a sit. I handled vet visits, administered oral medication, and ensured a calm recovery period by crating the cat and providing consistent aftercare. I’m confident in responding to unexpected situations with compassion and calmness. I currently have 25 five-star reviews on a well-known pet sitting platform and am proud to have built strong, trusting relationships with so many pet owners. I offer overnight stays, drop-ins, and general cat care. I'm available Monday to Sunday. Your cat will always be treated with love, patience and my full attention.

Justina is my long-term partner and she is the most trustworthy person I have ever met in my life. She absolutely adores all sorts of animals, she grew up around cats and dogs and she's been a five star pet sitter for the past two years. She's looked after over 60 pets across Glasgow, USA and Mexico. She is very patient, kind and caring. She also has experience in administering insulin shots for a diabetic dog. Overall, she is a very friendly and sociable person and I highly recommend her services.
