I currently work full time from home and can work flexibly to whatever suits my needs. This provides me with the flexibility to take on cat sitting jobs throughout the week and not just evening and weekends.

My boy, Tywin, is a house cat so I know how important it is to ensure your house cat can't and doesn't escape whilst in my care. I ensure Tywin gets plenty of play time, with toys and puzzles to keep him occupied and not bored, however I do also take him out for walks with a lead and harness, which he loves and gives him additional enrichment. When looking after other's cats I follow any guidance provided to me which allows me to best know how to look after and interact with their cats - some cats love to have a little play, others aren't interested and I fully respect whatever suits the cat and their owners. The safety and care of your cat (and any other pets) is a priority, however I'm aware that the safety of your home whilst you're away is also a key priority. I always ensure that not only are your pets cared for whilst your away but your home is also, ensuring I uphold any and all security measures in place in your absence.

A typical day
When looking after others' cats (and any other small animals), I follow all guidance provided by the owners to ensure I'm providing all that is required in the owners absence. This may just be feeding, changing water and cleaning out litter trays, or this may also include playing with the cats, looking after any other small animals or even watering the plants and taking the bin out for collection!

I work from home full time in the education sector with my 4 year old Maine Coon, Tywin as my #1 co-worker! I've owned and been around cats pretty much my entire life and absolutely adore them - I cannot walk by a cat on the street without attempting to make friends with them, I've got a pretty good success rate too! I grew up with dogs too and so have taught Tywin a number of 'tricks' like sitting and giving paw for his treats and even take him for walks on his lead and harness - with being a house cat I find he loves the little exploration! As well as owning cats and dogs I've owned and taken care of all types of animals from rabbits to snakes to bearded dragons! I've also spent a lot of time on farms, so have also handled sheep, cows, goats and horses plenty as well - which as an animal lover is all great fun! 😊
