Lou based in SE London, caring for &keeping you in touch with your cat/s while you're away
Hi I’m Lou, an animal lover, gardener &photographer. Based near Brockley station& Hilly Fields park. I’ve always enjoyed having cats and over the years a variety of other creatures in my life (rats, chinchillas, chipmunks, geckos, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs, parrots...) so, I’m experienced with various feeding and cleaning routines. Also happy to look after your plants in or outdoors. Our last cats were Blue &Lady, brother and sister who were rehomed with us when their owners moved abroad in 2008. I felt Ladycat was a big part of my care team during cancer treatment back in 2018, proving cats are the best therapists! I have been called upon informally to look after my neighbours and family's pets whilst they're away. I have a current DBS certificate. I’m a keen photographer, in the process of gaining formal qualifications in this field. Happy to be sending you photos/videos& updates on visits. I’m currently land-based in Brockley, living with my teenage son and a Chilean rose tarantula called Debbie Hairy. I say currently landlocked, as plan to have a boat on the London canals and of course boat life will need, more cats! Being self-employed selling vintage clothes& jewellery means I can be flexible with time& timings spent visiting your cat/s. They will have my undivided attention& affection! Lou did a fantastic job looking after our cats while we were away. Straight away from the drop-in visit we knew our three were in safe hands, as she made both us and our cats feel at ease. Even our nervous cat who doesn't usually come out of hiding when strangers are round was relaxed around Lou, which made us feel so much better about leaving them in her capable hands. Lou made sure our cats were all well cared for when we were away, even turning on the bath tap for them to drink out of whenever they asked! Lou made sure to send lots of pictures and videos of the cats, which was really appreciated when we were away from them. Communication was also great, Lou even adjusted her visit time when we had a friend pop by. All in all, we're really grateful to Lou for taking great care of our cats, and would definitely ask her to look after them again!
Lou is thoughtful, proactive, and wonderful with cats. We’ve been away for quite a long time, and Lou made it so much easier for us not to worry about them while we were gone. She clearly genuinely loves animals and has a lovely, calm and caring energy. She’s also a highly communicative person, always keeping us updated and making sure we knew the cats were happy and well looked after. We felt completely reassured throughout our trip. Thank you so much, Lou - we couldn’t recommend you more highly!

Lou was amazing as always with Bruno! She’s really caring - she clearly takes the time to make sure everything is ok and he has all he needs. Her photo/video updates also give me total peace of mind knowing he’s being so well looked after!
I HIGHLY recommend Lou! She took incredible care of my four cats and sent photos and videos every day so I could see they were happy and well. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly loves cats. I’ll definitely book her again.
