I’m your typical crazy cat lady — and proud of it! I’ve been cat sitting for over 10 years and have rescued countless cats and kittens, especially during my time in Egypt. I recently moved to Guildford and have already made friends with the local feline residents. In 2006, I received the Genesis Award (Brigitte Bardot International Category) — the equivalent to “the Oscars” for animal advocacy in media — for raising awareness about the cruelty of live animal exports and slaughter methods in the Middle East. Other recipients of this award include Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Megadeth, and Ricky Gervais, & others. I was also aawarded a Certificate of Appreciation from PETA for my dedication to stopping animal suffering. My writings on animal rights have been cited in academic books, including Animals and World Religions (Oxford University Press) and The Routledge Handbook of Religion and Animal Ethics. I now live with my cat, Oscar Wild (without the ‘e’). I’m experienced in giving medication (excluding injections), and I always ensure bowls and litter trays are clean. I often work from home, so I can spend extra time with your cat if needed. They’ll be loved, safe, and respected — always.
