I'm a 25 year old Biochemistry and Genetics graduate from Sheffield, working part time in a sports centre, with plenty of free time around this to look after cats! I have a black and white cat named Tilly, who loves chasing ping pong balls, sleeping under her blanket whatever the weather and chewing on cardboard boxes. We've always appreciated how well cat sitters have looked after her while we are away, so I would love to do the same for your cat :) I have previous voluntary experience at the Sheffield Cats Shelter, cleaning the cat's rooms, cleaning litter trays, and interacting with the cats. I cared for a lot of very different cats here, so I’m good at reading a cats mood and understanding if they want to interact or be given space, so I can make sure the cats I look after feel are comfortable and stress-free. Alongside experience caring for my own cat, I have been cat sitting through CatInAFlat for 3 years, so I am familiar with all that goes into the daily routine of caring for a cat. I am also DBS checked. I am happy to do whatever tasks you require during my visits, including things like taking bins out or watering plants. I have some but limited experience in giving cats medication, so should your cat require this we can discuss specifics. I usually offer 1-2 visits per day, but am happy to discuss other arrangements. Due to my part-time sports centre work, and frequent weekend travel for sports, sometimes visit times can be a little varied – I will always mention this upfront, and discuss what timings work for you. I am quite flexible in general with visit times! Typically I will work a few evenings per week (~2:45pm-10:15pm). So for a 2-visit per day booking, if I am working, I can visit any time in the morning, and in the evening either before or after my shift – whichever suits you best! I will occasionally work morning shifts, or on a Saturday often need to set off early for sports training, where a morning visit would have to be around 6/6:30am. More often than not though, I am very flexible with morning visit times, and happy to discuss whatever arrangement and timings work for you 😊
