Please let me know about any fears, anxieties, behavioural quirks or special requirements, as well as their likes and dislikes. Having cared for both dogs and cats, including pets with ongoing medical needs, I understand how important it is to maintain familiar routines and provide care that is tailored to each individual pet.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor my care to their personality, energy levels and usual routine. Whether that’s a relaxed walk with plenty of time to sniff and explore, playtime and companionship for a dog, or spending time with a cat who enjoys company and affection, I’ll ensure they feel happy, comfortable and cared for. I understand that some pets are highly social while others prefer their own space, and I’ll always respect their individual needs. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands.

Cat care experience
I’ve owned and cared for cats for most of my life and currently share my home with two much-loved cats, Beau and Nero. As any cat owner knows, cats have very different personalities and preferences. Some are confident and sociable, while others prefer their space and like to do things entirely on their own terms! I take the time to get to know each cat as an individual and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. I have experience caring for senior pets and administering medication, including inhalers. Nero has asthma and requires a daily inhaler, so I’m comfortable following established care routines and keeping a close eye on any changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Whether your cat enjoys playtime, companionship, a quiet lap to sit on, or simply having their food served exactly as requested by their feline majesty, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they’re used to at home. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is happy, well cared for and in safe hands until you’re home again.

Sonia is absolutely wonderful with my two Golden Retrievers. They get so excited whenever she comes to look after them, which says everything about how much they adore her! She truly spoils them with cuddles, long walks, and plenty of fun games, giving them all the love and attention they could wish for. What I appreciate most is how she keeps me updated with regular photos and videos, so I can see just how happy and relaxed they are while I'm away. Knowing my dogs are in Sonia's care gives me complete peace of mind. She is caring, reliable, and genuinely passionate about animals. I have known Sonia for decades and always found her to be kind and affectionate. She has 2 cats and a dog who are beautifully cared for. She got the cats about twelve years ago and sadly one of them was run over within 2 years. However there was a local stray that kept coming to her door and she took it on, posted notices about it looking for the owner, then took it to the vets to be cleaned up, treated and neutered. He then became part of thd family. She got a dog in 2019 who is adored. She looks after my young dog who worships her.. she will be a great asset to your team.
