Pet care fits around my weekly college schedule, which I attend four days a week, plus one day of work experience at a doggy daycare. I’m used to structured routines and being around animals every day. Outside of those hours, I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends. My experience at a busy daycare has made me confident managing different personalities, keeping pets safe, and giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection whenever I’m with them. I’m also happy to be contacted about caring for other types of pets, including reptiles and small animals.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always my top priority. I’ve done work experience in a veterinary clinic for 4 years, so I’m very comfortable around animals of all temperaments and have a good understanding of their health and behavior. I’m able to notice early signs of stress or illness and handle situations calmly if anything seems off. When I’m in your home, I’m respectful of your space and stick to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable. I make sure doors are secure, double-check leashes and harnesses, and keep a close eye on pets during outdoor time. I’m careful about unsafe foods or objects and always aim to keep things calm and clean. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.
Information Yarah U. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their individual needs and routine. This includes their feeding schedule, favourite activities, walk preferences, and any training cues or house rules you’d like me to follow. It’s also really important to know about medical needs, allergies, medications, mobility issues, or anxiety triggers so I can keep them comfortable and safe. I also ask about things like how they are with other dogs or people, whether they have any escape habits, and what helps them settle if they get nervous. For cats, I like to know litter preferences, hiding spots, and how social or independent they are. Having these details ahead of time helps me provide consistent, personalised care that feels familiar and stress-free for your pet.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a calm check-in to make sure your pet is happy and settled, followed by feeding and fresh water if needed. For dogs, this is usually a walk tailored to their energy level, giving them time to sniff, explore, and burn off some energy. Back at home, we’ll have playtime with their favourite toys, basic training or reinforcement of good manners, and plenty of fuss and affection.

Cat care experience
I understand that cats have their own unique personalities and routines. I keep litter boxes clean, follow feeding schedules exactly, and make sure shy or senior cats get calm, gentle care at their own pace. For playful cats, I provide interactive toys and enrichment to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I’m also attentive to subtle changes in behavior or appetite and will keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away.
Reviews

Yarah, is a truly lovely thoughtful young woman, who as a deep love of all animals and creatures great and small. I couldn't have asked for a nicer person to look after our 3 cats while we were away for a few days with our Grandson. She went above and beyond looking after them. It was lovely to be able to not have to worry at all about their care. She kept in touch with updates and photos etc. I will definitely be asking her to look after them again and cannot recommend her highly enough.😊

Yarah was amazing with the pets.

Yarah was friendly, punctual, and amazing with my kittens. It was my first time leaving them alone while they were still very young, and she made both me and them feel completely comfortable. She sent lovely photos of them cuddled up sleeping next to her, which really reassured me they were relaxed. I came home to two happy kittens and would absolutely have Yarah back again!
