I've had cats in the family since my early teens and have always adored animals of all shapes and sizes.

I started my love of pet sitting when a friend of a friend asked me to pop in to feed and walk their dogs many years ago and I haven't looked back! I've been known to look after cats, dogs, rabbits and even chickens both through this website and through recommendations passed on through friends and neighbours.

I now have pets of my own and I always treat other people's pets as I would treat mine (maybe with slightly less baby talk, but we'll see...)

More about my service:

  • If you have shy pets I can give them space, but will absolutely have patience and give them plenty of cuddles if they're willing!
  • Putting down food and water is a given, but I'd like to note that I'm happy to work with dry, wet and raw feed
  • I always ensure litter trays are kept as clean and smell-free as possible!
  • Happy to do small jobs around the house with instruction (e.g. water plants, take the bins out etc)
  • Am not trained to give medication, but am happy to do so under strict guidance
  • Can accommodate if cats are not your only pets!
  • I tend to do a pre-booking meeting to make sure everyone is happy with each other
  • I also usually request written or typed notes/contact details/reminders to ensure nothing is missed
  • I often bring my partner with me but will run that by you beforehand and am happy to make exceptions (e. g. if you have shy pets)

There are rare occasions I may not accept your booking, such as:

  • If your cat brings in birds, live animals, or regularly presents animals in a way that requires more than a quick clean (e.g. on carpets). I'm more than happy to accommodate to a certain extent and I understand accidents happen, but I need to know what to expect in advance and will discuss this with you prior to accepting the booking
  • If the booking interferes with my work schedule
  • If you're unfortunately just too far away! We may be able to discuss adjusting the price accordingly to include travel costs, so feel free to pop me a message anyway just in case! :-)

    Betty looked after my cats for a second time - again was a 5* service. Betty clearly adores my cats which is amazing but is also super helpful (collecting post etc), particularly when my smoke alarm was going off randomly and sorted it all for us. Thank you again Betty!

    I'd give 10 stars if possible. My two cats were so well looked after, and grew to love Betty and her partner. Betty stayed and played with them for hours, much longer than we expected which was amazing. Already booked again, wouldn't choose anyone else now!

She is a great, clean house sitter, perfect for indoor cats. Booking was ended early due to our cat bringing in too many animal presents. This is something that would need to be considered

    We came to two happy cats. Betty is lovely and reliable. Our cats are very shy and she was patient with trying to give them some fuss. She kept us up to date with pictures and messages. All perfect :)

    We previously sent Ash to a cattery the last time we went away and really regret doing so. Trying cat sitting for the first time, we found Betty to be ideal - we knew it the moment she first visited and after just a few strokes, Ash rolled over to show her belly! I loved how personalised the service could be - Betty really listens to what your cat's requirements are and their routine. We enjoyed all the very cute pictures we got while we were away and the peace of mind knowing that Ash was home safe at night was so important to us. We were also pleasantly surprised to see that Ash hadn't destroyed the place. Would highly recommend Betty, she didn't just look after our cat while we were away, she cared about Ash too.
