Hi, my name is Isla, I am 57 and absolutely adore cats, I actually prefer them to dogs, but do love both. About me: I live in Cramlington and work as a Personal Advisor for the Leaving Care Team in Gateshead. I support care experienced young people from the age of 18+. I am a very passionate caring person. I am aware that putting your pet into a cattery can be a worry, both for you and your pet, it’s nice if they can stay in the comfort of their own home.

I had a cat during the pandemic which I rescued from an abusive household, she was adorable, and I kept her for a few month, but as I lived in an attic flat it was unfair on her, as she couldn’t go out or see out the windows, so now lives with a friend on a farm and is loving life. Also when I was a teenager, I had a beautiful cat, he was gorgeous, his name was Sooty, as he was jet black. He was a very clever, cool cat, never stood for any nonsense. I loved him so much, I was very upset when due to an awful illness he had to get put to sleep. I then got a cat when I lived on my own, he was a little ginger Tom. He was very mischievous and made me laugh constantly, unfortunately he went out one night and never came back. I also sort of adopted a cat that kept coming into my garden, he stayed for quite a few months (couldn't locate the owners), then left again. Once I had my son, I could not have anymore, as he was allergic to animals, and could only stay in a room with them for one night. I find cats very relaxing, I love to have them on my knee and cuddle and stroke them (if they allow you to), as well as playing with them, they can be so funny. They have such amazing characters. I am very trustworthy, and would take excellent care of your cat :-)
