About Me
Cat sitter in London
I grew up in a house with cats and we were blessed with a litter of kittens. Neighbourhood cats were always trying to adopt us and move in, tempted by the smell of freshly cooked fish or rabbit that was always on the stove.
These days, after being a flat-dwelling owner of a rescue cat, I fully appreciate the demands and needs of an in-door cat. I also have experience in giving regular medication in food for kitties with on-going health issues such as arthritis and hypothyroid problems.
I normally travel with some cat treats in my bag, in case the neighbourhood cats want to stop and chat and get stroked on a garden wall.
I love the way familiar cats greet me with their tails up. One of my charges knows he can expect a long head scratch between his ears, and he closes his eyes in blissful enjoyment and pushes his head into my hands. I love reading up on what cats communicate by body language and like to think I am receptive to the different noises they make.
I always stay at least 30mins with my kitties, if not longer if they are in a playful mood and time permits. All dishes are cleaned out and refreshed every visit, and water fountains with filters are also washed and replaced. Litter is checked and cleaned as needed and rubbish disposed of hygienically. I will also weigh out food portions for kitties following special diets. I aim to keep owners updated as often as they need while they are away.
I moved house in June 2023 and am now living in N6, and covering the areas around Highgate Station and down into Crouch End. I'd need to add some minimal travel/petrol expenses to reach my established clients in the N19 and N7 areas.
