Happy Cats of Cookham

My name is Angie. I am a retired midwife and live in Cookham with my husband and my beautiful black and white cat, Sammy. I really love cats! I have been so lucky to have shared my life with 4 wonderful cats over many years!

All my cats have been rescue cats so they were very nervous and upset when they arrived after their previous bad experiences, so I spent lots of time with them helping them to relax in their new home and they all became very happy and affectionate cats who have given me lots of happiness over the years. Tragically, my third cat, a beautiful black and white cat, called (Big) Sammy, died suddenly at only 3 years old, so now we have gorgeous (Little) Sammy who makes us laugh with all the funny things he does! He likes to climb into the apple tree to frighten the pigeons nesting there, chases the frogs into the pond and loves to sit with us on a chair with a cushion in the garden.

We always have a responsible cat sitter to look after Sammy when we go on holiday as I think cats are happiest in their own homes while their owners are away, where they have their own familiar surroundings and can follow their usual routine. So I would love to look after your cat while you are away on holiday! I will feed him, stroke him, play with him and take the time to get to know him and what he likes, so that he feels happy and relaxed. In the unlikely event of him becoming unwell I will let you know straight away and will take him to the vet, if necessary. Of course, I will also keep his feeding area and litter tray clean and check for any "accidents" (or mice or birds) on the carpet! I will send you regular updates and photos of your cat so that you can see that he is well and happy and can then enjoy your holiday with peace of mind!

I have been cat sitting for 5 years and have lots of cat sitting experience and am very concientious. I have made friends with lots of furry clients and their owners and have had lots of regular satisfied repeat customers. I'm sure my own cat, Sammy, would give me a good reference, if he could, as he's spoilt rotten!

As I love cat sitting so much this is a little hobby for me, so I'm really looking forward to meeting lots more furry friends and their owners!
