I’m a French freelance teacher and counsellor with a passion for travel, discovering new cultures, and meeting new people. Over the past twelve years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in New York, Shanghai, and London, which has deepened my appreciation for diverse communities. Currently, I teach and study online, allowing me to explore the UK while enjoying the company of wonderful furry friends through pet sitting.

Raised in the French countryside surrounded by cats, dogs, and poultry, I developed a love for animals from an early age. Although I haven’t been able to have my own pets since moving abroad, I’ve spent the past five years pet sitting in the UK and have cherished the chance to care for a variety of pets and meet fantastic families. I always look forward to giving your loved ones lots of cuddles while you’re away!

I’m always up for long walks—whether wandering city streets or roaming the countryside—and I love learning about local history. My hobbies include attending gigs, plays, and musicals; swing dancing; reading; jigsaw puzzles; meditation; and volunteering at cultural events, especially those focused on sustainability.

I’m a responsible, quiet person with extensive experience caring for cats and always treat every home and pet with the utmost respect and attention, whether as a pet sitter, tenant, flatmate, or couchsurfer.

"Sophie was an absolutely wonderful sitter for our three cats this summer. She quickly and efficiently managed to organise and book her very long trip up north, and was incredibly self-reliant throughout the stay.

We could depend on her for everything from daily feeding, medication, company, and cuddles for the cats, along with photo and video updates, to reporting and diagnosing any issues that came up, or important mail/deliveries that arrived during our absence (deliveries had been scheduled to arrive before our departure but were delayed).

Even our most skittish cat immediately warmed to Sophie, most likely sensing her calm and positive demeanour; they clearly enjoyed spending time with her and followed her around like they normally only follow me.

Sophie is very active and an avid walker, walking unbelievably long distances on an average day, so any remote place, even one with few transport options are not a challenge for her.

We arrived home to three happy cats and a spotless house, along with sweet, personal touches from Sophie. She is such a lovely and kind person, and we definitely recommend her."

"Sophie was amazing and so easy to communicate with throughout the whole period. She actually ended up staying 3 months; she was very flexible to adjust to the new dates as our plans were changing often. She checked our mail, mowed our lawn and kept the house in great conditions. Last but not least, our cat Minu loved having Sophie around; we could see how well fed she had been :). I would have Sophie come back to house sit for us in a heartbeat! 5* from us!"

We were naturally slightly nervous about having someone stay in our house after only meeting them briefly but Sophie instantly put our minds at rest and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after our home and kitten! She was extremely tidy, conscientious and most importantly, looked after our cat extremely well! Sophie sent us regular updates whilst we were away to put our minds at ease and left the flat tidier than when we left it! We really hope she is free every time we go away as she was just perfect."
