About Me
Graduate Kitty Sitter
I’ve grown up around cats and my family used to take in stray cats when I used to live in Malaysia. Word spread and we ended up running a sort of cat shelter and people in the neighbourhood would drop off stray cats with us if they couldn’t afford to care for them and we had a vet on call. Because of this, I’ve gained lots of experience with cats of many different breeds, temperaments and health conditions.
After moving to the UK at 12 years old, we finally moved to a pet allowed flat after 6 years and I adopted my first cat Mickey who is a sweet, cuddly boy and a tuxedo!
Benny came 3 years after as a rescue kitten at only 4 weeks old. I nursed, weaned and administered medication for him until he was much healthier. He had anaemia due to being covered in fleas and the rest of his litter mates had all passed by the time my cousin found him. I took him to an emergency vet and with the help of RSPCA, he survived despite the vet saying it would be a 30% chance of recovery. He is now healthy and happy (and extremely playful). He gets along well with Mickey and has turned 1 year old as of August!
My visits are tailored to your requests. I can administer medication at a certain time if need be. They usually last 1 hour for daily visits and 45mins to an hour for twice daily visits. I send videos and pictures for every visit and I do regular inspections of their paws, eyes and ears to see if there is any irregularity so that I can inform you asap. After I’m familiar with how your cat plays, I may bring a toy that I think they’d enjoy!
I could apply toothpaste if they are at risk of gingivitis or brush them regularly if they’re prone to hair balls! I can attempt to trim their nails if the nail clippers are provided and if the cat isn’t too scared.
I’m good at approaching apprehensive and scared cats (usually bribing with treats and a quiet, calm environment). I can help control their diets if they are on any. And with your permission I can try train them to do some tricks! Like catching treats with their paws or mouths.
Most importantly, I know how to make a cat comfortable and not overwhelm them.
