About Me

Animal lover for all those large and small!

My name is Hannah and I joined cat in a flat because I love cats. I have two of my own that I have had from kittens.

When I was younger I volunteered at a vets and at an RSPCA cattery for several years so have cared for cats in all shapes and sizes.

I have also had birds, fish, various rodents and dogs throughout my life and feel very comfortable around animals. I have a calm and careful approach and would listen to you with regards to what works for your pet whilst you're away so they stay calm and the transition is easy for them and for you.

I have experience administering medication to cats and dogs through tablets and injections (this was for my dog who had 2 injections every day to help manage her diabetes)

I believe a home isn't really a home without a pet. When I got my own house with my partner we adopted 2 kittens who are very mischievous but adorable. They are mostly indoor cats as we live on a busy road but they do go out on cat leads for walks…sometimes I think they’re a bit more dog than cat! Both have never been in a cattery and we are so lucky family and friends are able to come over and look after them when we are away. I’m hoping that by joining cat in a flat I can look after other peoples cats, and now other pets, in their homes to reduce stress on your pets and so you have a good service and know your pets are safe and cared for.

A little more about me, I now work for a charity who help young people with special needs find supportive work placements and then aims to enable them to get paid work. It’s a great job and I meet lots of brilliant people. I am a keen photographer and do have an Instagram for my cats 🤦🏼‍♀️

I also have a full clean driving licence and DBS.

The basics: - A face-to-face meeting before you go away so you know who I am and can let me know exactly what your pet needs - clean bowls and feed pets - change water - change litter or clean out pet enclosures - brush and groom if required - administer medication if required - provide a photo and update to you as agreed whilst you're away - the all important cuddles and fusses - ensure there is plenty of playtime if they have favourite toys

Nothing is too much trouble - if there are certain things they like I’d love to know so I can keep your pets as calm and happy as possible whilst you’re away.

    Our cat (and his staff!), are so grateful to Hannah for her kindness towards him. We all have our minds put at rest whenever she is taking care of our cat and she always makes sure we are kept in the loop to how he's doing with thoughtful comments and photos.     This was our 2nd time choosing Hannah to look after our kittens and, as before, she was very reliable and considerate. She sent us pictures and videos every day. When we got back everything was tidy and the kittens happy. We would choose Hannah again.

    Hannah was brilliant with our kittens! She ensured they were not only fed and the litter cleaned out but that they had some play time too! She sent us pictures and videos as well which was really appreciated. We came back to very happy kittens 😊. I'd definitely recommend Hannah to look after your cats!

    Hannah was great looking after Oscar for a week whilst I was away. Oscar isn't the most trusting but eventually she won him over. I got updates and photos twice a day when Hannah visited. I would definitely recommend Hannah , its not the first time she's looked after Oscar and won't be the last.

    I am so happy and relieved to find Hannah to care for my fur babies, while I was away. She took care of them like her own, kept everything tidy, played and gave them cuddles. She has been particularly excellent in communicating every little changes she noticed during her visits. I feel more at ease now to plan for my next holiday. 😀
