Need an
awesome
cat sitter?
About Me
Very organised, reliable lover of all cats, whether very cuddly and playful or a bit shy or aloof
Hi!
I work in publishing as a freelance editor and designer and can do most things involved in taking a book from a manuscript to something polished and ready to print. I work on a very wide variety of books, from Georgian cookbooks to travel guides to works on psychoanalysis. I work from home, which can be useful for catsitting.
In my free time, I like active things like climbing; getting out of the city in my van, preferably somewhere mountainous; and films and books etc. I'm originally from Shrewsbury and Wales and have lots of rural yearnings but I've been living in London for 16 years now, so maybe that makes me a Londoner!
I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish and was particularly fond of my female tabby, Izzy (who I was persuaded against naming 'Golden Ears'). I have a soft-spot for shy cats but also love more forward cats. I've always been sad that my London landlords haven’t allowed me to have a cat.
I have plenty of experience keeping cats company, as well as making sure they're fed the right amount of food and are healthy and happy. I've also minded cats outside of this website, and received glowing reviews.
I also like other animals (I’d love to look after some ducks and/or chickens!). Although my previous experience with other animals is limited, I'm a calm, responsible person who pays attention to detail.
I'm clean, tidy and respectful and treat others' homes as I would like others to treat my own.
As your cat sitter I will:
- Arrange a free meet and greet to get to know you and your cat(s)
- Provide fresh food and water for your cat daily
- Clean the cat bowls and litter trays
- Give lots of playtime and cuddles every day, or every visit (if your cat likes playing and cuddles!)
- Give medication if within my capabilities
- Send daily photos and updates
For overnight visits I'm happy to travel anywhere in London, although it would have to be worth the transport costs. For daily visits, I'm happy to go anywhere within a 30-minute cycle ride of Leytonstone.
Hope to hear from you!
