About Me

Kay's Cat Care

Hello, I'm Kay.

Since I was a child I have been a cat lover and for over 40 years have shared my life and home with cats. My home is currently shared with Murff a twelve year old tabby who is both naughty and affectionate! I sponsor from afar Bagheera who lives at Tala Monastery Cat Park, Cyprus.

My work for the last 20 years has been within the voluntary sector including We are Beams (formerly Parents Consortium) supporting disabled children and their families, North Kent Mind and Alzheimers & Dementia Support Services.

As well as my love for cats, I love reading, films, music, theatre and I am a member of a local choir, Make a Noise singing songs from musicals. I am also a member of the Cats Protection League and have supported many animal charities over the years.

Whilst you are away for work or pleasure, I can assure you that you can entrust your much loved feline family member to be looked after by me. Alongside taking care of all their specific needs ie litter changes, feeding, grooming, playtime and cuddles, I will send daily photos/videos to ease any worries you may have. As an animal lover and experienced owner over the years, I am also happy to tend to other pets you may have including rabbits, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, birds and fish. Additionally, my services can include a house check, taking care of essentials such as watering plants, drawing blinds/curtains and "putting the bins out". I'm happy to offer my cat sitting service across Dartford,going outwards to Barnehurst, Bexley, Hextable and Greenhithe. Of course this includes the areas in between.     Kay was great from start to finish. She sent daily updates on Ronda and understood her requirements. She even took the bins out and helped to make sure our home was safe while we were on holiday. Would highly recommend!

    My cat Percy is very shy and nervous of strangers but Kay was excellent at gaining his trust and giving him strokes. Received lots of videos and updates on how Percy was doing which was very reassuring. I felt Kay was very professional and had a good rapport with cats and would definitely recommend using her to anyone.

    Kay was fantastic. Took excellent care of my animals, I received communication and photos from her daily and, even though I have a number of different pets with individual requirements, she followed my instructions to the letter so they were all kept happy and looked after, and I had peace of mind! Very professional, kind and friendly too!

    Kay put all my worries at rest. I hate leaving my senior cat to go away, but from the first video Kay sent during her first visit, I felt at ease knowing he was safe. He clearly loved the head scratches and treats, and warmed to Kay immediately. I’ll be using Kay again and will feel relaxed leaving my cat in her expert hands!

    Kay has been looking after our two cats for nearly a week recently. One of the cats is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day. Kay was simply great from the moment she came to visit before our holiday. She was very friendly and got herself well prepared for the visits. We got pictures and comments each visit, which made us feel at ease. We knew the cats were in good hands. I loved Kay’s sense of humour - there were giggles when reading the messages. I would highly recommend Kay if you want peace of mind whilst you’re away. Will definitely use Kay’s cat service again!
