INTRODUCTION:

We are Bart and Ashton—a professional, London-based, easy-going, experienced couple in their thirties and forties (married for over 15 years). We are completely location-independent (besides pet-sitting, we work online as translators, editors, and writers), both non-smokers, vegans (we understand this may be your preference so thought to mention), with no dependents. Due to the nature of our wandering lifestyle (we travel a lot as pet-sitters, writers, and photographers, but also for leisure), we cherish every moment in the company of animals that we get the opportunity to stay with. As a bonus, we have been complimented on how tidy we have always been! :)

OUR EXPERIENCE:

We have been pet and house-sitting since joining a similar site in 2016. During this time, we have had the most (and only) amazing experiences—we have met incredible people many of whom became our friends as well as bonded with all of the beautiful animals we have had the pleasure of looking after. On there, we have gathered over 130 5-star reviews!

We are both British citizens. We have lived in the city for over a decade—Bart is originally from Poland and Ashton from Pakistan. We also stayed (and often pet-sat) for a long while in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and many other places all over Europe and Asia. We are pretty aware of different customs and cultures and are happy to travel pretty much anywhere with confidence and pleasure!

After all of the years of pet-sitting, we have become very familiar with different animals' behaviours, quirks, needs, and things that usually need to be taken care of. We are quick learners and are very adaptable. We will definitely make good friends with your beloved pets!

Additionally, Bart has finished an extensive course in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from The University of Edinburgh (https://bit.ly/35kCJjf). We also have quite a bit of experience in administering medication. And we are happy to give your pets an occasional bath, even if they might not be too keen on that.

WHAT WE DO FOR LIVING:

As photographers, we take great joy in capturing the pets on the camera! Rest assured, we will send you plentiful pictures of your fur babies so that you can feel confident they are sound, safe, and much loved. :)

OUR HOBBIES:

For fun, besides work, we like to read, write, watch films, play music and board games, hike, cook, sightsee, and, of course, spend as much time as possible with animals, which we don’t have due to the nature of our travelling lifestyle.

CHOOSE YOUR TRUSTED SITTERS:

We are more than happy to have a chat with you over the phone, Skype, WhatsApp, or FaceTime before you choose the perfect sitter so that you can get to know us a little better and so that we can get to know you and your pet(s) too.

Additionally, we are happy to arrive a day earlier before your departure if you wish to—we are pretty flexible and oftentimes pets (especially the shy ones) like to get a bit familiar with new-comers while the owners are still there.

We would be happy to house-sit because we want to make sure, while you're away, that not only are your pets in an environment they are used to, but you're also able to relax in the knowledge that we will take care of your home as if it were our own.
