The Purrfect sitter..😻

Hi, I'm Rona, and I'm a singer, vocal coach and choir leader by profession. 4 years ago my mother passed away from dementia. I moved back down south from Glasgow and stayed with a friend who has 3 cats. I'd often be asked to sit with them, and I grew very close to one of them, a talking 17 year old Burmese called Cora, who left me two months ago, aged 20. 😰😰😰She was the first of the three to notice I was grieving for my mother, and she went out her way to keep me company and generally nurture me back to a more acceptable place mentally. I have never forgotten her kindness and I used to sit with Cora and the other two twice weekly. My speciality? Heightened awareness of communication skills and body language, and also being able to encourage linguistic skills where appropriate. As a result, William, one of the other two cats, can speak in clear sentences when he is so minded. I was a behaviour therapist for autistic and speech delayed children, and depending on the breed, the same techniques appear to work on cats. In addition, I am very good at sensing non verbal communication, such as when they may be sick or hungry. Overall, I am consientious and emotionally aware, as well as the fact that I find great pleasure in being around, interacting with, speaking with and cuddling cats of all types.

I am verbal and interactive. Kind, loving and respectful. I do not pick up cats or even touch them without their permission, unless it was necessary to protect them. I am great at toys, treats, cuddles when invited, etc...
