About Me

Cat sitter in Greenock

Hiya! My name is Stephanie McGonigle, I am a self employed pet sitter and artist from Greenock, Scotland. My two passions in life are animals and animation. After being the go to person amongst friends and family to look after their pets while they were on holiday for a couple of years, I took the next step and started pet sitting for local clients in 2016. I have owned two special cats in my life.

When I was 9 I found a tiny kitten in a bush in the Greenock cemetery. I took her in and called her Casper. Casper loved cuddles and had a wee toy kitten she used to carry about everywhere with her. She was my best friend for over 17 years.

A couple of months after Casper crossed the Rainbow Bridge I adopted a wee kitten. I called her Meeko after the raccoon in Pocahontas because of her stripey tail. She really lives up to her name by standing on my shoulder and trying to steal my food.

When looking after cats I love to keep them company and play with them to ensure they get all the exercise they need.

I am qualified with distinction in Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Professional Diploma, Pet First Aid, covered by Pet Business Insurance, have references and a copy of my Disclosure Scotland. I am also a member of the Pet Nanny Coach Community, where I learn from like minded people and other pet sitting business owners every day.

Due to my flexible job as an artist and love for animals I am ideal for contacting to arrange pet sitting while you are away on holiday or working etc. I would love to meet you and your pets if you ever need a loving and responsible pet sitter in Inverclyde and the surrounding areas.

    Stephanie was just great!! She sent me pictures of my luna frequently which made us very relaxed on our holiday.. got back and luna was waiting for us , really happy..the house was left clean and tidy, no problems whatsoever, I will be adding Stephanie on my list for next time..thanks steph!!!!!

    Sweet sitter, my cats took to her right away! I mean all 5 of them so that was a huge bonus. Loved the pics she sent & she always asked questions no matter how insignificant it may have been. That put me at ease and the babies were fine!

    Stephanie was a great help to us by going round to see your cats when away on overnight. They were both clean happy and content , Stephanie kept us updated on how they were doing and sent photos of them and there antics which was noth reassuring and funny :)

    Stephanie was great , easy to contact and came over 2 visits to see our cats when we had an overnight stay. It was reassuring to know she was there to feed clean and play with them a while.     There was no communication as promised in her advertisement... I had to make 2 calls to her!!!! Sitter was paid up front, but did not attend my flat as agreed. On returning from a short break, my cats were clearly distressed... the flat smelled of cat poo, the litter tray was not cleaned, the sitter had not fed the cats at all. AVOID THIS "SITTER" AT ALL COSTS, SHE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!!!!
