About Me
Cat sitter in Milton Keynes
Greetings cat servants!
I too serve a purrfect puddytat (11yrs) in my own home (which is now a narrowboat!)
I also spent a year volunteering in the cattery at our local rescue centre and loved every minute of making them feel loved and cared for before they found their forever homes. They won't admit it but all cats secretly love to have a human in their lives (all 9 of them!) and it was a privilege to show them that despite what happened in their pasts, there are humans that love to love them and that it's ok to trust us. I only stopped because I decided to quit my job and go self-employed; I still support them when I can. Being self-employed I have the flexibility to pop in to serve your masters on your behalf at times that they prefer (fuss & meal times!)
My rescue, Whiskers (11yrs) was left behind when her owner moved. I knew the lady that had been feeding her; I didn't even know what she looked like before I said I'd take her but of course, she's beautiful! It took over a year for her to really trust us, we still can't touch her tummy and she hates internal doors being closed, but she loves to follow us on walks and sit on our laps to nap. She's adjusted really well to boat life and loves to pop her head out and explore each time we moor up somewhere new (we move every two weeks)
Suki (9 yrs) was 1 of 4 I rescued from an old lady's shed when they were just 2 weeks old. I admit it was like having 4 newborn babies to night feed etc. But I loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat! We rehomed 3 to people we got to know and trust and have kept in touch. It's been wonderful to see them grow into fine (fussy) pussy cats! Unfortunately Suki started to spend more and more time outside and away from home until she stopped coming back. It's been over 2yrs since she went missing :(
Most of my career I worked in nursing homes caring for or training carers to care for people with dementia. I am now a reiki practitioner which enables me to help people and animals in a wonderful way. My cats love having reiki and they're much more settled too :) It's something I think animals can sense as I often have even the most shy cats come and sit with me and I even had one sleep on my chest when the owner has never even had her sit near her!
I could go on but I fear I have sent you all to sleep already! If you are still awake, please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs further.
