About Me
Cat sitter in Manchester
Please note that I am experiencing ill health so my sitting availability has been reduced. Feel free to contact with enquiries but I am generally unable to take on any new pusses and am restricted regarding length and multiple sits going forward.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello fellow cat lovers! I'm an experienced, responsible and caring cat owner as well as fosterer for a number of charities. I understand how much cats can bring to us, and am committed to helping each feline have the best possible life.
I have provided cat sitting services and other pet walking / sitting / boarding for friends, family and via word of mouth for over two decades now. I have looked after animals through voluntary holidays in both the UK and also in Spain where I looked after a large population of street cats for three weeks. The host reviewed:
"The cats loved her, it was like she had always lived with us. She is good company and a very considerate person. She has a lot of experience with cats and kittens in her everyday life so was a huge benefit to us and our day to day operations."
Having fostered for over 9 years I've cared for several pregnant Queens and their kittens, from birth to when they are old enough to go to their own forever home. I've personally rescued and rehomed a number of adult cats and more recently have been fostering a number of different types of cats, all with different needs.
I currently work part time and have a DBS check through my employment. I am looking at developing my pet care understanding with professional qualifications.
You can be assured with me that you will have a cat sitter that understands feline behaviour, and who will give all the love and affection as your puss dictates!
I am practised in the art of ear scritchies, belly rubs, head butting and warm lap providing. I will give play and socialisation, keeping up with your regular routines as much as possible to minimise any stress. I will provide feeding, watering and cleaning tasks (litter trays, bowls etc).
Special requirements:
I am confident with handling cats, even when they don't necessary want it! My old Molly was given daily medication and I have looked after a diabetic cat that needed injections. I've also administered eye drops and cleaned / dressed wounds daily with fosters.
If I suspect your puss is poorly or acting out of character, I will always get in touch with you (or your emergency contact if unavailable) as you know your cat or kitten best. If I can, I will stay with them for a longer period in order to give you peace of mind.
Household:
I can do other basic house tasks as needed, such as turning heating on / off to prevent cold damage, turning lights on and off for security, watering plants etc.
I am very respectful of yours and your cat's environment and will thoroughly clean up so you can return to your home without worrying about having to do the vacuuming!
Boarding:
In certain circumstances I do occasionally board cats with me in my home. However your puss would have to be happy staying in my bedroom, and tolerate the scent of other cats/kittens. I am happy to discuss boarding on a case by case basis.
