About Me
Cat sitter in Worcester
I'm a retired greybeard geek and photographer, who's always got on well with cats, whether within my family or met on the streets.
I grew up with Tiger, a long haired ginger and white female from a farm cat litter; I can still remember my delight the first time she settled on my lap, when I was about five years old... In adult life, several cats have chosen me; my last cat, Kenneth, arrived on my doorstep as a skinny, feral stray in early 2011. He became a fine figure of a cat, but even I have to admit that he was dangerous if the mood was on him.
I've been a cat-sitter with Cat in a Flat since 2017. Do get in touch if you feel that I would be suitable as your cat's temporary butler.
Neil
I'm happy to look after any cat who likes me, and most do. I've no problem with older cats, or even rather grumpy ones. I will cuddle, fuss and groom cats who enjoy that, or throw scrunched paper if that is their thing. If they are stand-offish I'll just sit and chill with them for a while.
I can deal with cat vomit and litter trays, and have had an old cat (Valentine) who needed daily thyroid medication by mouth; I don't claim to have veterinary nurse levels of tablet giving skills, but I can administer medicine to a reasonably docile cat without a helper.
I'm also happy to water houseplants (given a list of what is where and it's watering needs) and monitor/tidy post etc. One one sitting session I successfully looked after a bearded dragon as well as cats and have also been temporarily in charge of a family member's goldfish... again, clear instructions are essential for looking after plants and any creatures other than cats!
