About Me
Cat sitter in Berkshire
My name is Ellie, and I’m based in East London. I work as a Scenic Artist (I paint theatre sets!). I work freelance so I'm always looking for a bit of extra money and I absolutely love cats. I love all pets, don't get me wrong, but I have the most experience with cats.
I grew up with cats - the first was called Blob and the second Splodge! Very inventive naming…! They were very different cats, Blob was very tough, very affectionate and loved playing, Splodge was very timid and would only stay in the room if it was me or my mum, bless her. I have looked after other people's cats as well - my cousin's cat Rita, who when she was a kitten was the sort who tore down all of the washing and spilled her water everywhere on a daily basis - but nevertheless we got along quite well. She was definitely a character! I have recently moved away from my cat Peggy, I love her a lot and really miss her so like to get my cat fix when I can :) I have done housesitting in East London looking after a house cat named Noah, who loved being stroked and slept with me on the bed. He had long white hair so I had to hoover everything almost every day and groom him when he wasn't paying attention! He also loved treats and playing with his toys.
I really enjoy being welcomed home by animals - even if it's not my own home! I am always looking for opportunities to play and cuddle with cats.
Usually I am able to do one visit in the evenings - anywhere from 15 mins to an hour between about 6 and 8pm, depending how much attention your cat needs! I leave very early for work, so would only be able to do morning feeds on weekdays if it was an overnight booking.
I’m happy to cuddle and play with your cat(s) and will really enjoy their company. I’m also very clean so expect me to be washing bowls, wiping surfaces and hoovering up litter on a daily basis!
Also expect lots of pictures and videos of your cats!
