About Me

Cat sitter in Halton

Hello,

I work as a Textile Artist in the Costume department for film and tv shows. My job is project based, which means I move to where work takes me. That makes it hard to have my own pets, but it also means I often treat myself to longer breaks in between projects where I can do some online training and cat sitting at the same time. I’m currently based in Halton doing research from my home and the Mill.

I grew up with two rescued cats, Benita and Cuco, and when they grew old they needed quite a bit of care, so I am comfortable with helping with medicine and caring for elderly cats or special diets.

My visits are around 40 min, but if your cat needs a bit more time to get into a playing/cuddle mood I will probably stay longer with them.

If you are going on a longer trip and you would like your cat to get extra cuddles I can stay overnight. And I am happy to travel outside my area as long as it is an overnight service.

I have just moved here after 7 months or pet sitting (including an elderly hen!) around north UK and France, can provide those references from another platform as well, just ask.

Happy to come meet you and have an in person introduction, cats also appreciate that :)

    Mara was a fantastic cat sitter, gave us plenty of reassurance and kept us up to date on Charlie's holiday, with lots of great photos. He stayed with Mara for 2 weeks at her place where he was well looked after and got lots of attention and fuss.

    It was a relief to know he wasn't stressed while we were away and had lots of company. Thanks again!

    Mara is a great cat-sitter - she was very thorough during the initial visit making me feel that Bo would be in safe hands, and during the actual cat sitting she communicated well and sent many pictures. We came home to a very content cat!

    Mara took care of our cat over Xmas for a week and she has been amazing!! Augustin (our cat) fell in love immediately and we received daily updates with pictures of what was going on back home. Such a relief to have had her at home and would highly recommend Mara to anyone !!

    We booked Mara in to look after my two little Kittens Miles and Milly for one night/two days. Mara was lovely and looked after my fur babies really well. She sent me some piccies of them when she was with them as I was a worried mum and hadn't left them before. I will definitely use Mara again as she made me feel at ease and my kitties seemed fine to be left with her.

    She took care of Robin for a week, and our cat was happy.

    She kept us updated, very communicative with us, so we enjoyed more our holidays.
