About Me
Life-long cat lover - experienced dealing with tricky and ill pets
Based by Hackney Downs Station, but happy to travel further afield on my bike. I work from home on Fridays but can arrange flexible working to make it easier to visit your little kitties.
A bit more about me:
I was born into a house of cats, and we raised 2 sets of rescues when I was a child. A few came to us at only a few weeks old, and I loved helping socialise them. I pop home to Scotland often, and help look after my parents' gorgeous white cat, Lily, when I'm back. I was there to help nurse her after an operation to amputate part of her tail, poor wee thing!
During lockdown I also fostered a tricky old boy via London City Inner Kitties (Tony - in my profile pic). I ended up keeping him for almost 2 years! He had a range of health issues that I learnt to deal with/medicate for.... from stomach problems (at both ends of the spectrum…) to ear and eye infections. I was committed to making him as comfortable and happy as I could. He’s now off to his furever home but I miss his presence so much!
Until last year I would cat/house sit for an elderly lady in my neighbourhood before her cat Mimi sadly passed away. I also have a friend who leaves her gorgeous boy Olly with us when she goes on holiday- we joke that my flat is like a cat health spa as he always goes home far more chilled and happy! I've also sat him at their home over shorter periods. My sister also recently adopted a pair of gorgeous ginger kittens. I've house/cat sat for prolonged periods of time for them too, and had to help with many litter training mishaps!
I feel so fulfilled when spending time with animals and I would be so thrilled to give some love and attention to any of your furry friends whilst you’re away from home.
I obviously enjoy cuddle time, but know when to read if a cat has had too much (I beware of the bellies..!) I'm also ready to commit to some serious playtime if your cat needs a bit more stimulation - I know how bored they can get home alone all day!
I'm not afraid to clean up mess... I've dealt with a lot in my time... so I'm also happy to give the cat litter and other areas a little spruce up when I'm visiting. I'll even water your plants if you like.
Finally, I'm confident in administering all kinds of medications - from pills the old fashioned way, to powders and liquid forms.
