About Me

Experienced cat sitter

Well the simple answer is my cat and the fact that I grew up with a cat. I dont have children but I would imagine that children are easier since you always know where they are. The only, and I relate this rather guiltily, downside to cat ownership is that it limits me in terms of going away. There are just so very few people I would trust to look after Charlie. It's not that people are not nice, they can be. It's just that there is such a gulf between a real cat person and all the rest. When I go on holiday, when I can get a proper person, I like to get a text message once a day just for my peace of mind. So, as much as I like people, I do like cats more and so I would be a good cat sitter because I just love cats and look after them so well.

I've enjoyed cat sitting and happy to do it. Only thing I'd add is that it really helps if you also have a next door neighbour that can keep an eye out for the cat when you are away - if you let your cat out that is - obviously it's not an issue when you keep your cat locked in. reason it would help is really for me, I send photos to people of their cat and when the cat is not in when I visit I get a bit stressed and usually come back another time during the day for my benefit to make sure the cat is OK. On a couple of occasions I've not seen a cat for a day and it was really stress reducing having the person's next door neighbour to call to see if they had seen the cat. All was well but it can just help reduce the worry of the sitting which I take very seriously.
