Petting cats super hard until they love me throughout the Durham area

Hi there!

I'm Jennifer and I'm a Durham local with a genuine need to spend time with as many cats as possible. In my day to day life I'm a volunteer helpline advisor with an enhanced DBS certificate and I am training to become a certified counsellor.

I'm immediately overjoyed when I see a cat. I am that person who gets down on the pavement to attract the attention of a passing kitty. Something about them just makes me feel happy and I've been lucky enough to have enjoyed the company of many beautiful felines throughout my life.

We sadly lost our family cat in 2023 to lymphoma - her name was Lola Baggy Potatoes and she was a 10-year-old calico who loved eating cardboard and sleeping on my shoulder ❤️ She liked to follow us when we left the house and we miss her presence daily.

We now have a pair of black and white, Norwegian cross kitties - Kuromi and Bad Badtz Maru. Maru is the classic dopey boy cat who spends his time looking handsome. He sleeps with my 13 year old son every night - they're completely inseperable! 'Romi is a sweet little girl, always happy and a skilled hunter. She chooses when she wants affection so you feel extra special when she nudges you for the good scritches ❤️❤️

I have a lifetime of experience looking after cats and I understand that many felines are not comfortable with strangers but my calm demeanour and confidence in my care will ensure your babies are happy under my watch.

I try to make my visits as long as is practical so will usually stay for around 30 minutes - this gives me time to remove soiled litter, wash dishes, feed and water as required. If your cat is keen for affection and play then I will stay for as long as they will tolerate.

Since cats are territorial animals, I will not force them to play/be petted if they aren't comfortable. I do try to ensure that I interact as much as possible and will always feedback to you if your pet has been distressed by strange company.

Treats can be given under instruction and if you require me to administer medication or follow a special diet then I will follow your instructions to the letter.

I am not available for overnights.
