About Me

Affordable live in cat sitter - Specialist in looking after sick, elderly, and disabled kitties!

Good Paw-ning! My name is Sarah, I'm a dedicated cat lover from West Swindon, who works from home as a charity events promoter. I have both personal and professional experience looking after animals - interning at a Vets, volunteering under cats protection, as well as being a cat guardian my entire life. My old cat Smokey was deaf, partially blind, and arthritic, but was full of life up until the ripe old age of 25; My current kitty Gingey is 16 - suffers from kidney disease, chronic constipation, and arthritic pain (all of which being well managed) as well being accident prone, which gave me the purr-fect excuse to learn animal first aid! His sister Suki recently passed, but through dedication and care, she was able to stay with us a year longer than vets expected; But the loss means I now have a kitty-shaped hole in my heart, which led me to the decision to become a cat sitter.

I work from home as a freelancer, so I can be available whenever your fur baby will need me! I specialise in overnight and live-in sitting at an affordable price (at just £15 per 24hrs, £20 for holidays, but if you book multiple nights, prices are negotioable), as I believe cats deserve the full attention of a sitter whom they have the time to get to know & feel comfortable around, rather than the stress of a stranger coming and going, or staying at a cattery ( I even do pre-visits, at no extra cost, so your kitty can get to know me). I have experience with elderly, sick, and disabled cats, so I'm not even the tiniest bit squeamish (my last kitty lived to 25!). I also have my own purr-sonal experience with multi-cat households, administrating medication quickly & with minimum stress, and have attended a course in animal first aid - which once helped me save the life of a cat in a nasty car accident. In addition, I have professional experience looking after animals, which has come through the multiple work experience and volunteer jobs I have had through the years - from interning as a veterinary technician assistant, dog sitting/walking, to volunteering at cats protection, where I helped socialise feral kittens and anxious felines. So truly, no kitty is too much work for me, and no owner either! - want 50 pictures of your fur baby a day? I'll send you 60! Is it important to you that Mr. Puss gets fed precisely 25g of freshly cooked salmon for dinner? I'll weigh it 3x to the milligram, just to make sure! Also, as a bonus service (and for no extra charge) I can teach your kitty(s) tricks! (I taught my own cat Gingey: Sit, Stay, Paw, Turn around, high five, kisses, and to take pills with no fight, in just few sessions).
