Handy Paws

Hello At the ripe old age of 52 I decided to give up my full time job of 20 years as a maintenance manager to try my hand as a handyman, hoping to gain more job satisfaction and a little more free time. I recently found myself in a position where I had a holiday booked and was left without a sitter to feed my two cats due to an illness with my regular sitter who is a neighbour and whom I trusted to do an excellent job. This is how I came across this wonderful site the likes of which I never knew existed. I am and always have been a cat lover and owner and treat my cats as family members. My current two (Smokey and Morris) were rescued by me from a shipping container four years ago, Smokey being the mother a British short hair and Morris was one of four kittens who were about six weeks old at the time. I regularly used to go into work early to make sure they were fed and also stayed late to feed them before I went home. I even went on a weekend and Christmas and boxing Day to feed them. I eventually decided to try and capture them as they were still quite feral and one cold day in January I succeeded with a few carriers and a little assistance, slightly battle scarred and bleeding I had them back at home. I managed to rehome all of the kittens except for Morris who decided he wanted to stay by constantly hiding in the tightest of places, so he and mum now live with me.

I understand owners reluctance about leaving their animals when they go away I'm no exception, I always worry a little that even though they are being fed and checked on that they probably still pine a little. to know that someone is visiting them and providing a little attention as well as food eases my mind (that and the webcam I have so I can see them). The service I offer is their feeds at the times requested by the owner and any other dietary requirements (a few treats too maybe), also some cuddles and attention to see if I can get a purr out of them. And any other requests you may have.

I also offer a garden maintenance service or any little jobs you may want doing around the house too, this a completely separate business and is completely NON OBLIGATORY as my sole aim of being on here is caring for your loved ones.

I am fully insured and DBS checked I also am currently studying for a pet first aid course too.
