Hello,

My name is Selva. About eleven years ago I left Spain and moved to the UK.

I struggle to think of a time in my life when I wasn’t accompanied by animals.

Whilst growing up we've always lived with cats, dogs and even a bunny under the same roof. There is a lot these rather different beings taught me about coexistence and patience, but above all they've shown me their unconditional love.

During my high school years, I was a weekly volunteer at my local animal rescue shelter. It's in these places where the full meaning of their unconditional love to us can be grasped.

My cat's name is Shiva and she is six years old. She is a mother of three, now fully grown, independent adult cats :)

Shiva is my furry companion. Long gone are the days when she enjoyed bicycle rides with me...she'd jump on me and curl up inside my kangaroo pocket with her head sticking out. These days, she's more of a couch rider instead. One of Shiva's favourite past times is talking through making pigeon-like sounds.

I'm a professional chef with a BTEC diploma in professional cooking. I also have a Cambridge Entry Level 3 diploma in English and an HNC in Fine Art.

I've been taking care of cats all my life. Naturally, some were more difficult than others. I'm no stranger to correctly applying insulin to diabetic cats. I'm well versed in feeding cats with dietary requirements. I also have experience of caring for many cats with 'difficult' personalities.

I love gardening, plant parenting and growing my own vegetables. I have taken part in various community garden projects. For the last few years my partner and I have successfully grown delicious veggies in different urban spaces.

As a chef and a cat owner in London, I understand how difficult things like going away or working long hours, can feel sometimes. Even though cats are rather resilient beings, they can also be very affectionate and feel our absence.

That's why I'm determined to offer a service that is loving and fun for the cats as well as being comprehensive and trustworthy for their owners at the same time.

As your cat sitter I promise to:

Carefully follow your caring instructions. Feed your cat according to your instructions. Keep the feeding area tidy and provide regular fresh water. Play, pamper and cuddle your kitty. Clean the kitty’s litter tray. I will send you daily updates and photos of your cat. I will be extremely careful and respectful of your home. If you want me to, I can collect your post and water your plants too.

I'm a good friend of a well established veterinarian. She has helped me out with Shiva countless of times. So, should you ever need professional advice about your cat's welfare or a second opinion on your cat's treatment, I'll be very happy to ask her on your behalf.

Last but not least, I'm aware of how letting a stranger into your home can feel, so should you prefer it, I'll be very happy to welcome you to my home for our initial meeting.
