About Me
Cat Whisperer
I work as a Marketing Executive in the healthcare sector. I love nature, cycling, everything creative and, of course, cats, especially their unique, usually very quirky personalities. I can also make a dog person like cats. Recently, I transformed my partner into a cat person. He never used to touch a cat or say anything nice about them. He is now the one to point out a cat in the street and voluntarily go to say hello. In fact, he is sitting next to me, browsing Battersea Cats page right now. We were thinking about getting one, however, we rent our flat and pets, unfortunately, are not permitted. When I was little, I had a beautiful ginger Lithuanian cat, named Pūkis. (Translation would be Puss, and yes, he looks exactly like the Puss in Boots from Shrek.) Our family absolutely adored him. He got bladder cancer at one point in his life and could not live indoors anymore. There was one obvious option what to do next, but the vet suggested an alternative, which was for him to live outdoors. It was a hard decision, but we decided to try. We built him his own little weatherproof house next to our house, with a window, warm blankets, and pillows inside. To our vet's and our surprise, even though he was not expected to live long after his diagnosis, he enjoyed another 4 years of happy living as a wild cat. Unfortunately, we had bad neighbors living around us and both, our cat and dog, got poisoned and passed away within a few months from each other. I do miss them both and am very happy when I get to spend time around pets.
I am able to befriend any cat very quickly and understand what they like and don't like. My partner even said: "I have never seen a cat not to like you"!
