Daya D. Or Auntie Kitty to Your Cats

Hello!

My name is Daya (aka Kitty) and I love cats :) I have had the privilege of looking after many cats in a range of ages and personalities. I also have a cat companion of my own, she is 4 years old and I have raised her since she was a kitten.

I have experience with older cats (10+), kittens and cats who are shy. My ethos is that I work with the cat and what they are comfortable with. If they don't want anything to do with me because they are too shy, I respect their boundaries and still ensure they are well looked after. This has given me quite a high success rate with shy cats.

I also have some experience with looking after rabbits although I am happy to learn more so I can guarantee a happy bunny!

I have experience giving eye drops, pills and a variety of cat behaviour. I also took a course in Cat Behaviour and Psychology and have used it to help me with my cat sitting endeavours.

I love the company of cats, their different personalities and of course, cat cuddles! I fostered cats for a local cat rescue for a year (before foster-failing) and have enjoyed getting to know each foster cat and helping them grow in confidence. I frequently looked after a friend's cat who wanted company whenever friend was out for the day and I am always happy to learn an individual cat's preferences and personality.

As an experienced cat sitter, I ensure that your cat will be comfortable and happy with me by listening to you and your cat. It is important to me that your cat is happy and well looked after while you are away.

I organise an introductory meeting so I can meet your cat and you, it is also the best time to talk about your cats routine, favourite toys, preferences and temperament.

I fully understand shy, timid, older cats who may not be sociable or who take time getting to know. I cater to all types of personalities and have experience giving spot on treatments, pills and eye drops. If your cat needs any treatment while you are away, I am happy to administer it, even if I am new to a form of treatment. I also have experience with strict diets and dietary needs, I know how important it is when you have a cat with a sensitive stomach or specific needs. I also take into account your home's safety as it is a big factor in keeping your cat safe and secure and also ensuring you have peace of mind while you are away.
