Experienced cat sitter hoping to make new furry friends and provide stress-free travel for cat owners!

Hi cat owners!

My name is Mao and I'm a city worker living in London. I've always loved cats since I was young - part of me thinks it's because I'm from Japan which is famously cat obsessed, and the other part thinks it's because Mao is 'cat' in Mandarin. Nominative determinism at its finest!

I had a lovely ginger cat growing up (called Nyan) and although I don't have a cat now, I've looked after friends' cats many-a-time as well as new cats I've met on Cat In a Flat. Am happy to provide references :)

Happy to do all the basics (food, water, litter tray, and most importantly cuddles if they're the cuddling kind) as well as any other bits and bobs that might be helpful (taking in mail, watering plants, etc.)

    Mao was a great choice for mochi! It was our first time leaving him so was really nervous but we received lots of videos and photos of his wellbeing and he clearly felt very comfortable with her. Thank you again Mao, we will definitely recommend and use her again!

    This is the 2nd time I have booked Mao to look after my cat (Layla), and I made the right decision in doing so as Layla is more comfortable and friendly (she's a skittish cat). Mao sent me pictures and videos and ensured all instructions i'd left were followed to the letter. Layla was in great hands.

    Mao was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly and professional when we met ahead of the booking to talk through the details for our kitties, and took excellent care of them too. We received so many lovely photos and videos for each visit she made, and she was flexible when we had to make a last minute change to the booking too :) Thanks Mao!

    My cat is rather skittish and nervous yet she didn't hide from Mao which is a testament to Mao's calmness and cat whispering skills. She fed, watered and played with my cat - sending videos to keep me up to date. I was very pleased with Mao's cat sitting and would book her again.

    Mao was truly wonderful in looking after our two cats for a week. Mao is a fantastic communicator and sent us daily updates and pictures. Mao was so brilliant with a few poop accidents while we were away! The cats were very content and happy when we returned. We couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter!
