Seriously experienced cat owner and lover !

I grew up in a household full of animals. My family ran an animal sanctuary for 50 years just outside of London and so I have always been surrounded by, and cared for, lots of cats (to say nothing of dogs, chickens, ducks, sheep, horses and a fox cub). These were all rescued with the hope of re-homing them. I would love to look after cats for those who need a carer/sitter whilst they are away. My philosophy is to meet the owner, and cat, before starting so as to understand what is needed. I would be happy to feed, water, comb, de-knot, give pills, play, chat with your pet and take the cat to the vet if needed on visits. If you would like I can also send updates or photos to you during my visits, or even FaceTime or Skype with you when there so you can see your pet. I live in Kennington near the IWM and would be happy to visit Kennington, Oval, Waterloo, Westminster, Brixton, Lambeth, Vauxhall and Southwark. I am 66 years old, a semi retired Chartered Accountant and am also a landlord so am very familiar with property management issues, so could, if needed, also deal with mail, turning lights on or off etc or even household emergencies. Am happy to live in/stay overnight if needed.

I have a natural affinity with cats and know just how to make them happy: it is all about responding to how their needs, likes & desires - stroking, chin rubbing, sitting on your lap, and as I recently discovered with a Cat in the Flat client's cat, patting the rear haunches !! - it is giving them what they want :) As we all know, "dogs have masters and cats have servants".
