My experience was mixed - Jasmine did come every day to check up on Milo and respond to Whatsapp messages. I had to request daily updates though. Upon my return, his main litter box was filthy with poop left in the four corners, his secondary was full of cat pee/messy, he had peed on his scratcher, the kitchen worktop (neither cleaned up) and a fluffy pad, which had been washed it seems but it was thrown away because of the smell. Milo's cone wasn't properly fixed after one of his dinners so he managed to scratch himself raw - again - further delaying the removal of his cone. I had left instructions with the time of Milo's dinner but it was brought forward by 3 - 4h because it turned out that he wasn't Jasmine's only client (which hadn't been mentioned during the first visit pre-booking).
-------------RESPONSE FROM THE SITTER-------------
Gaelle, I’m sorry you weren’t happy with the service I provided looking after Milo. I’d like to respond directly to each point that you raise to clarify. I take your point about requesting daily updates, I was happy to do this once you mentioned it. I have to disagree with your statement about there being poop in the corners of the litter tray because I specifically changed them and made sure no poop was lying around at all each and every visit. I changed both litter trays fully, the main one twice while you were away to ensure that Milo was comfortable and the flat didn’t get smelly as this is super important for me with my own indoor cat. In the WhatsApp message you sent me on the day you left you said not to worry too much about changing the secondary tray since he won’t use it, he did use it so I changed it as required. In regards to the kitchen worktop, it was definitely cleaned up before I left and I hoovered the whole living area for you as well because I wanted to ensure you came back to a clean flat because we had played a lot and there was a lot of cat hair. In regards to the dinner timing, I wasn’t aware how specifically you wanted him to be fed until the day you left, I tried to accommodate where I could with this, but one evening was an early visit. I agree I was early the one evening but I made sure to be around earlier and for longer the next day. Having another cat client wasn’t the reason for not going at your specific 8.30-9.30pm slot. Finally about his cone coming off, I understand it’s distressing that it came off and it set his recovery back, but you said it happened to you too and for me the only reason it came off was because I was concerned your cat would be strangled, I was too cautious.
