The Cat Lady

Oh my goodness it's been so long! I'm a veteran Cat In a Flat sitter who had to move abroad for a few years, but I'm back in the UK and in a new area!

My name is Megan and I am a 33 year old living in Sheffield. I'm a US and UK citizen (Scottish on my mum's side) who much prefers staying across the pond if I can help it! The only thing missing here are my two sweet cats living back with my parents at home.

Before my hiatus, I had been sitting with Cat In A Flat for about 3-4 years, and I’ve loved every bit of it. I’ve sat for a wide range of cats, from an 11 week old kitten to a 22 year old Queen! Some have been shy, some have been playful, and some have been a handful, but I’ve loved them all just the same! I do everything from daily visits to overnight stays, and I try to remain flexible.

Additionally, I do whatever you need done with the house while you’re gone, such as watering the plants and collecting the mail (and I'm usually guilty of a little cleaning). I always take care to leave a house nicer than when I found it!

When I come through, I’ll do the regular chores but be warned that I do tend to spoil the cats a little rotten! A few more treats than normal, a nice brushing here and there, and lots of playtime and cuddling. I’ll adapt to whatever your schedule and routine is, including giving medications. I have experience administering inhalers, IV medications, and some injections, as well as the usual oral medications.

If you want killer photos of your cat sent to you throughout your holiday, I am an excellent cat photographer! I know you miss them as much as they miss you!

    Megan was polite, punctual and helpful from the first contact. She looked after our 4 cats, tortoise and fish for 7 days. The house was left clean and tidy. I would be more than happy to employ Megan again for future pet sitting.
