Reliable and friendly cat, dog and small animal lover based in Louth, but happy to visit surrounding areas

Hi,

I’ve always loved animals since I can remember, especially cats, having grown up with three cats, two dogs, fish, gerbils, rabbits, hamsters, newts and stick insects. I have looked after many friend’s and family’s cats and other pets when they have been away on holidays or work commitments and have looked after many stranger’s cats on here now so I have lots of experience of different personalities, needs and even medication. Each cat is different, but I like to think of myself as very aware of how to approach and take care of people’s fur babies when they’re away from home.

We have our own two lovely fluffy kitties - Indie and Suki who are siblings from the same litter and get on famously together - playing, sleeping, eating and grooming one another. A cat really makes a home.

I have a current DBS certificate issued in July 2021 which has been uploaded onto this website, but I’m also happy to bring it to our initial meeting as I know letting a stranger into your home may be disconcerting.

You can rely on me to ensure both the practical and emotional aspects of cat sitting will be fulfilled to a high standard. I will ensure the food and water bowls are cleaned and replenished and clear up any debris on the mats! I will change and scoop the litter tray, and keep the area clean and tidy. I like to think of myself as a cat cuddler and stroker extraordinaire and will happily stay and chat to your furry loved ones for as long as they like. Any special requirements e.g. dietary requests or medication I am happy to help, just give me clear instructions and I will follow them. Being a mum I know the importance of routine and I’m happy to follow any rules or habits that your feline friends may have! I can’t wait to meet and take care of your precious pet, and I’m happy to take in post or water plants or any other small job that may need doing whilst I’m there. If there are other pets I have plenty of experience with other animals having owned guinea pigs, hamsters and fish and for a small extra charge I’d be happy to look after.

I will initially set up a free meet and greet session at your convenience to meet your fur babies and go through paperwork. Any questions or specific requirements, please do ask, for example watering plants.

Happy to travel up to 15 miles, although over 5 miles will incur an extra petrol charge.

    This is the third time Joanne has looked after Coco and I couldn't be happier. It is great to know that when I'm away I don't have to worry at all about her and although I miss her, Jo sends me twice daily bulletins and photos.

    Joanne was brilliant with Coco. She sent me twice daily photos and updates so I knew Coco was being well looked after. Joanne also watered my plants and picked up post etc. I returned from holiday to find a happy, contended cat. Will definitely try and get Joanne to look after Coco when I'm next away.

    I cannot praise Joanne highly enough. My cat is a timid boy which was why I decided to use this app. Joanne sent me daily photos which was a great comfort as I had never left him for this length of time before.     I really can't fault Joanne. This is the first time I have used a cat-sitter but with a rather grumpy cat, I didn't want to take him out of his home. Joanne was brilliant, she went above and beyond and made me feel so at ease. I'm a worrier by nature but I knew my cat was in great hands and I won't hesitate to ask her to cat-sit again or recommend.

    Joanne was brilliant! This was our first time having a cat sitter and we were nervous as we didn't know what to expect. However, straight away Joanne put us at ease. She sent us daily photos and updates of our kittens, spent a lot of time with them and made sure they were happy. They absolutely loved her and we received lots of photos of them purring away! We are already planning our next trip now we know we have a reliable cat sitter. Honestly would recommend Joanne to anyone she is fab!
