About Me
The Cat’s Pawjamas
Hi there! Originally from the Welsh countryside, I’m currently a PhD student at Imperial College London and The Institute of Cancer Research. I have had cats in my life since I was 6 years old. Siani and Rocky were black and white twin cats that we rescued from a farm. They had very different personalities - Rocky was aloof, and the coolest cat around. He had lost his tail when he was young, but that added to his demeanour. He’d swagger around, and had the loudest purr I’ve ever heard. He’d never come to you for fuss, but would never be hostile if you gave him cuddles - he just looked slightly alarmed! And he’d always protect his little sister Siani. Siani was loving and devoted, and just wanted to be as close as possible to you. I could walk around with her around my neck and she would have no qualms. I loved and cared for her until she reached a grand old age of 16. My family home is a farm, and a cat (Farm Cat) has chosen our place as her residence. Initially she would keep her distance, but over time, with many offerings of food, we’ve won her over and can now give her a quick stroke before she heads off to her mouse catching duties. Living in London, I really miss having cats in my life. l This is why I have joined Cat in the Flat as a cat-sitter. I promise to love and care for your cat - I love getting to know the different personalities of cats, and also totally respect their boundaries.
As your cat sitter, first and foremost I will complete the duties you expect of me and will treat your home with respect. Then, I will get to know your cat and understand it’s likes and dislikes. From there, I will play, provide snacks, cuddle and observe! I am happy to complete tasks from playing, feeding and cleaning any kitty litters. I am also happy to take your cat out on a lead if this is required.
