About Me
Cat sitting for your pawsome cat in Glasgow
Hi, I'm Rosaria, I'm 33 and I'm a physics lecturer at Glasgow uni. I've had many cats in my life, since I was a kid. Back in Italy (where I'm from) I used to live in a rural non trafficked area where our cats could enjoy being outdoors in all safety.
After moving to Glasgow, I was desperately missing being surrounded by cats, so I decided it was time to be owned by a cat again, and in 2021 I got Bailey. I love spending some quality time playing with him, giving him plenty of cuddles and training him, from small things like teaching him to sit and wait when I ask him to, to more exciting things as getting him comfortable going for walks on the lead or going out in his backpack. I adore cats and I rescued one years ago back in Italy (there are many stray cats around there). She was inside the engine of a car and her mother had been hit by a car. I took care of her even though she was only 6 weeks old at that time, and she grew up strong and beautiful.
I love all cats and I like to learn about their personalities so I know how to best approach them, being aware that they all have different needs. If they're food motivated I'm happy to spend some time teaching them little tricks if you want me to (beware it takes time!), and if they're playful I'm always happy to play with them! I respect cats needs and will make sure they get play time and cuddles and company if they're quite social cats, but also leave them their own space if they need it or don't like socialising that much. In any case, I take care of all cats as if they were mine.
As your cat sitter I will:

Arrange a free meet & greet to get to know you and introduce myself to your cat

Clean the cat bowls and provide fresh food and water for your cat daily

Clean the litter tray (scoop out the poop and clumps daily and add/change the litter if needed)

Check on your cat at every visit to make sure she's being her usual self and is not injured, unhappy or stressed

Make sure your cat(s) enjoy plenty of play time and cuddles if they're sociable - I'm aware that this can vary on their personalities, I will respect their needs :)

Send daily photos and updates for every visit (believe me, I know how much you miss your cat when you're away!)
I am happy to cover the following areas: Pollokshields, Shawlands, Govanhill, West end close to Glasgow uni, or somewhere close to a subway station.
