About Me
Cat sitting service (NW3/NW5/NW1)
Hello my name is Florence. I am 34 years old and work as an Oncology Dietitian for the NHS. Alongside this, I am completing a PhD at UCL, researching nutritional care after surgery. As a healthcare professional I am required to register with the Health Professions Council and therefore have had DBS checks and am a trustworthy and reliable individual. I am friendly, considerate, hard working and care about the welfare of people and animals. I enjoy running, baking, preserve making, cooking, flower arranging, attending to my herb garden and going to the opera/ballet in my spare time. I try to make the most of everything London has to offer in terms of galleries, museums, markets and restaurants. I have worked/lived in London for the past 10 years across Camden, Kentish Town and Angel. I work in a major teaching hospital in central London and am very familiar with the areas surrounding north/central London. I currently live in Chalk Farm with my boyfriend who also loves cats! I would love to have a Maine coon of my own one day. Unfortunately I am not allowed a cat of my own at present owing to my lease, and when I heard about cat sitting it sounded like the perfect option for someone like myself!
I work Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30am and can visit around these hours (before/after work). I walk into work and back from Camden to Central so ideally could pop in around these times. I used to catsit regularly for my next door neighbour growing up. I am very responsible and experienced with feeding, providing medications and playing. I love giving treats however owing to my occupation, I also understand the importance of weight management! I have experience with administering oral medications, but do not have experience with providing injections. My sister has 2 dachunds and my mum has a Pomeranian whom I adore and see regularly, so I am very used to cuddling, entertaining and responding to cues. Obviously cats are slightly different in nature and it’s usually on their terms! My friendship group are very animal friendly- several of my close friends are small animal vets (I attended a university on the same campus as the vet school) and they all have animals so am regularly around cats and dogs. I would be very happy to provide regular update videos/photos as per the owners requirements. In addition, I’d be more than happy to meet beforehand for a chat as well to ensure I am a good fit for your cat!
